Looking for a laser cutting and fabrication supplier for a business in Wakefield? Kaizen Engineering cuts, folds, welds and assembles steel parts at our works on Thomas Street in Shaw, Oldham, just off the M62, and supplies manufacturers and workshops across West Yorkshire, including Wakefield, Ossett, Normanton, Castleford, Pontefract and the business parks around the M1 and M62. We work in mild steel, stainless, aluminium and wear plate. Email your drawings to sales@kaizen-eng.com and we’ll get a quote back to you the same day.
Wakefield is home to a lot of firms that build, run or repair heavy-duty equipment: material handling, trailers and bodywork, conveyors, quarrying and recycling plant. That kind of work needs thick plate cut accurately and parts that stand up to hard use. We cut mild steel and stainless up to 25mm and Hardox® wear plate to your drawing, then fold and weld it in-house.
We’re just as happy making a single replacement part for a maintenance team as a regular production batch for a manufacturer.
Our 8kW Trumpf fibre laser runs alongside a Trumpf CO2 laser, giving us more than 350 hours of cutting time every week.
We hold S275 and S355 carbon steel, wear plate and 304 and 316 stainless in stock, so a lot of work can go straight onto the machine. Where the job allows, we can turn parts round for same-day or next-day delivery or collection. More about our laser cutting service.
Keeping the whole job with one supplier cuts out extra handling and lead time:
Typical work includes wear liners and replacement wear parts, chassis and frame parts, brackets and mounting plates, gussets and flanges, guards and covers, and fabricated sub-assemblies. If you’re replacing a worn part, send us the drawing or the dimensions and quantities and we’ll price it properly.
