Laser Cutting & Fabrication for Bolton

Looking for a laser cutting and fabrication supplier for a business in Bolton? Kaizen Engineering cuts, folds, welds and assembles steel parts at our works on Thomas Street in Shaw, Oldham, and supplies manufacturers, OEMs and workshops across Greater Manchester, including Bolton, Horwich, Westhoughton, Farnworth, Lostock and the business parks around the M61. We work in mild steel, stainless, aluminium and wear plate. Email your drawings to sales@kaizen-eng.com and we’ll get a quote back to you the same day.

Built for Batch Work and Repeat Orders

Many Bolton firms build machines, enclosures, vehicles, racking and equipment on their own production lines. What they need from a subcontractor is parts that turn up right, batch after batch, so their own line keeps moving. That’s the work we’re set up for: cutting, folding and welding your parts to drawing, then grouping and labelling them into kits so your fitters can go straight to the build.

We’re just as happy making one or two parts for a small workshop, an installer or a start-up. Every enquiry gets the same attention, whatever the size of the order.

Laser Cutting

Our 8kW Trumpf fibre laser runs alongside a Trumpf CO2 laser, giving us more than 350 hours of cutting time every week.

  • Mild steel up to 25mm
  • Stainless steel up to 25mm
  • Aluminium up to 12mm
  • Hardox® wear plate and Strenx® high-strength steel, cut to your drawing

We hold S275 and S355 carbon steel, wear plate and 304 and 316 stainless in stock, so a lot of work can go straight onto the machine. Where the job allows, we can turn parts round for same-day or next-day delivery or collection. More about our laser cutting service.

One Supplier from Sheet to Assembly

Sending cut blanks to one firm for folding and another for welding adds handling, lead time and room for mistakes. At Kaizen the whole job stays under one roof:

  • CNC press braking on our 250-tonne, 4-metre Bystronic press brake, for long panels, channels and enclosure parts
  • Fabrication with MIG and TIG welding in mild steel and stainless
  • Assembly and kitting, with parts grouped and labelled ready for your production line
  • Wear parts in Hardox® for recycling, handling and processing machinery

Parts We Make for Manufacturers

Typical jobs include chassis and base frame parts, brackets and mounting plates, machine guards and covers, enclosure and cabinet panels, gussets and flanges, and replacement wear parts. If you’re bringing a part in-house from another supplier, or need a second source, send us the drawing and the quantities you use and we’ll price it properly.
